Vera holds a degree in Business studies, but at one stage of her life, not by accident, she 'veered' from the corporate world into artistic waters. Life has actually brought her where she has always wanted to be and where she belongs. She has found her true identity. She is an artist whose specialty is ceramics. Her elements are clay and fire. Clay is a part or type of soil that appears in its present shape waiting for someone to shape it and transform it into another form. Vera believes that each piece of clay has its own history. It remembers. And every time she works on an artpiece, Vera thinks about what that piece of clay remembers. What was it? Because of that, and due to her unique way of working, each piece she creates has a personality. She loves to work in the old Japanese raku technique. And 'raku' means ease, peace, 'calm pleasure.' And that is Vera's true pleasure, that every artwork she creates brings joy to all its users
Vera Pavelić-Posavec, a graduate in Economics, lives and works in Varaždin, Croatia. During her career, she had managers' position in business. According to desire and urge from her school days, she only later completed a course for making ceramics at the Public Open University in Varaždin. These were the beginnings of artistic activity, which Pavelić-Posavec has been engaged in for almost three decades. Sculpture is her primary form, although she also makes objects on a potter's wheel, which she then paints by hand. In addition to the classic clay processing techniques, she experiments with various old techniques. Each item she makes is unique, and she mostly works in the old Japanese raku technique
