About the artwork

In the painting Autumn, Ji Suk Baek depicts a forest at the turn of the season. The white silhouettes of the trees stand out against a rich, abstract background of red, green, gold and purple tones. Combining Korean simplicity and Western expressiveness, the author invites reflection on the quiet beauty of change and transience in nature

Ji Suk Baek unites Eastern subtlety and Western freedom of expression. Her paintings—calm yet powerful—carry the spirit of meditation and modernity. Through layered tones and gentle strokes, she creates a space of silence that connects two cultures – Korean and Western
