About the artwork

The artwork “Idyll” is one of Vlahinić’s beginnings of creativity. The captured impression of the moment, which he quickly captures in fresh clay, remains immortalized in bronze. Vlahinić shrewdly draws out the character of the person he portrays and skillfully plays with composition. He also adds a part of the bust to most portraits because it gives him a better moment to play with movement and pose. He himself participates in the processes of casting bronze in order to obtain the casting that best conveys his vision

In his work, Vlahinić deals exclusively with the human figure. The works vary in a wide range from portraits to full figures or compositions of multiple characters. He brings the spirit of nationality into his works, captures the impressions of human movement and beautiful moments inspiring him

Fran Marko Vlahinić was born in 2002 in Zagreb, Croatia. After graduating from the School of Applied Arts and Design Zagreb, Department of Sculpture, since 2021 he has been a student of the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb, majoring in sculpture. He made a number of sculptures and participated in group and solo exhibitions. As a sculptor, Fran Marko Vlahinić began to exhibit very early and present himself to the audience with his work. He works in his native Šestine under Sljeme
